When Dandy Mini Marts — a family-owned chain of convenience stores with locations across Pennsylvania and New York — set out to create an unforgettable beer cave experience, they turned to Vintage Marquee Lights to bring their vision to life.
The result? Two stunning custom wall-hanging marquee signs that now anchor the 28° Cold Beer Cave section of their stores — drawing customers in with warm incandescent bulbs and bold, distressed lettering that perfectly captures the brand's fun, retro-meets-modern personality.
The Signs
28° Cold Beer
The centerpiece of the installation is the "28° Cold Beer" wall-hanging sign — a wide-format piece featuring white distressed script letters mounted on a bright yellow base, ringed with warm incandescent filament bulbs. The sign reads exactly like a classic roadside marquee, instantly communicating that this isn't just any beer cooler — it's a destination. The sign is installed directly above the cooler wall, visible from across the store floor.
Beer Cave Entrance Arrow
Flanking the entry door is the "Beer Cave Entrance" arrow sign — a bold yellow marquee arrow with incandescent bulbs pointing customers directly toward the cave. The word "ENTRANCE" is stenciled across the top bar in clean block letters, while "BEER Cave" is rendered in a mix of bold and script lettering below, creating a dynamic typographic contrast that's impossible to miss.
