When a craft brewery earns its place on the Ocean City, Maryland boardwalk scene, the signage has to be as bold as the beer. That’s exactly what @ocbrewco — OC Brewing Company — had in mind when they commissioned this custom layered marquee sign from Vintage Marquee Lights.

A Sign as Iconic as the Brew

OC Brewing Company is a full-service craft brewery, restaurant, sports pub, and gift shop located on Coastal Highway in Ocean City, MD — one of the Mid-Atlantic’s most beloved beach destinations. With a rotating lineup of house-brewed craft beers, a 50-foot bar, live music, and a laid-back coastal atmosphere, OC Brewing has become a staple of the Ocean City experience.

For a brand built on local pride and coastal character, the sign had to match. We fabricated this custom layered marquee sign in the shape of a bottle cap — a nod to the brewery’s craft beer identity. The distressed blue-and-rust finish gives it that perfectly weathered, vintage feel, while the warm standard incandescent filament bulbs illuminate the bold “OC” letters at the center, drawing the eye from across the room.

The Craft Behind the Sign

Every element of this sign was hand-fabricated in our workshop. The bottle cap silhouette was precision-cut from steel, then layered with dimensional lettering and a banner reading “Brewing Co. — Ocean City, MD.” The distressed paint finish was applied by hand to achieve that authentic, time-worn coastal look that perfectly complements the brewery’s reclaimed wood interior.

Mounted against a backdrop of reclaimed wood planks, the sign becomes part of the room — not just a decoration, but a landmark. It’s the kind of piece that guests photograph, share, and remember long after they’ve finished their last pint.
